Active, performance and sports nutrition summit 2018
This week Sales Director Matt Banks is in Rotterdam attending the latest Bridge2Food summit. The summit is not only an exhibition for those within the sports nutrition industry to network and meet new businesses but learn about innovation and updates within the market.
Matt is attending the summit to learn about changing consumer needs, the stages within the industry, growth opportunities to present to our customers and the threats and challenges predicted for the latter half of 2018. As well as expert views on market size from performance and sports nutrition brand owners from Europe and North America, it allows Matt to bring back a whole hub of information for his sales team members to provide the latest concepts and trends to their customers.
The summit invites members of food and retail industries including retail, private label manufacturers, brand owners and packaging manufacturers. Since 2009, exhibitor numbers have tripled, with 1250 key industry experts joining the exclusive summit.
Bridge2Food is a knowledge and network agency based in The Netherlands. Its key strength is the development of specific platforms for the food industry: ‘Building bridges between food professionals’. Bridge2Food operates in the international food sector and organises a wide range of food industry conferences for senior managers of food manufacturing companies in Europe, the USA and Asia. Bridge2food creates new international networks between food specialists and improving the know-how and know-why by organising platforms. The Bridge2food company was founded in 2002 to provide research and consultancy services in fast-moving consumer categories based on vegetable proteins and innovation.
In recent years, international recognition has left to the development of the International Food Business Network and Global Protein Network for the food industry as well as in specific food categories.
This was my second year attending B2F and like last year I found the event to be highly useful and a superb place to network with fellow industry colleagues.
When asked about the event upon his return, Matt said “The B2F team led by Gerard Klein Essink works hard to ensure that the quality of content during the event is informative with a nod to what is currently happening in the industry and also thought provoking, with a view on the trends and changes within the industry helping companies like ours stay on the front foot.
I am already looking forward to next years event and will ensure that I feedback my findings from this year to my wider team.”
